Technical Support: Palm Condition Report

Earth Tech Engineering Pty Ltd engaged Australian Landscape Management to provide PEET and Co with expert advice regarding the condition of 4 palms recently planted in the main park in Point Cook Estate (Lennon Boulevard).

The palms appear to have been carefully transported and transplanted. The healthy condition of the canopy of each palm should ensure that energy is provided for root growth and establishment.

Watering will be critical to the rate of establishment and in preventing the palm canopy from deteriorating while root extension growth occurs. Watering basins need to be established to assist effective watering.

The recent incidence of Fusarium Wilt in palms in coastal Melbourne suggests that these palms should be monitored for any symptoms.
