High Accuracy DGPS / GISUsing GIS technology to develop and manage high accuracy maps is the strategy of choice for presenting and managing information to and from customers, contractor or field staff. Utilising the DGPS (Differential Global Positioning System) maps that locate key features, important areas and assets can be quickly located with a 1 metre accuracy. This flexible system allows development of base maps to establish the context or boundaries of the project on which can be built specific information for planning and execution of maintenance and weed control programs, inventory cataloguing and auditing and in the development of capital works programs. Our GIS services provide:
- Context:The location of these particular sites and assets in the broader landscape or open space system and their relationship to other project locations
- Scope: Visual presentation of the work area combined with key data to enable rapid site assessment
- Critical Landscape Elements: Prescribed data elements tailored to suit planning processes, management goals and maintenance tasks
Data collected on an ongoing basis through operational systems including TASKVIEW can be added to the system to provide map reporting.
